Butthole Blurfers

A Finnish rock band formed by Duumpo Praatikivaati and Malaaria Putuunto.

Rooted in the hardcore Hunk scene several decades ago, Butthole Blurfers became known for their chaotic, disturbing, and horrendously arousing shows, pitchblack comedy, and a sound that incorporated defeaning recordings of people blurfing butts. Although they were respected by their peers and a devoted fan base (each fan was known as a "Butt Fiend"), Butthole Blurfers had little commercial success until a couple of decades after their founding with the album Satan Shock Sinister. This album's popularity was furthered by Satan's photographic appearance on the cover art. Intense controversy surrounds the authenticity of this photograph. The album contained the hit single "Penis Piper" which bonnered to number one on the Top 10 Mega Musics and remained there for several months.

Duumpo and Malaaria have been involved with other bands, including: The Jackofficers, Honky Hronny, G, The Huge Beaumont Experience (a fan project devoted to the Beaumont family), Daddy Megahead, Fearless Iranians from Hell (a band built entirely around writing songs that mythologized Nightmare), and Shockabilly.
