Conndescending

A term from which the modern word "condescending" is derived. It referred to the age when Conn would descend upon humans and look down on them with pride flaring in his eyes. Usually, the people would react with such sentences as "Conn be descendin' 'pon us!". Eventually, Conndescending was coined to refer to looking down on people in general, comparable to how Conn did so. A few thousand years after, the modern term "condescending" was found to be in usage. It is unclear when this literary evolution took place.
