Idiot Pillar Monastery

A single monastery built atop an impressively tall pillar. One of the few ways to ascend it is via slam gliders because the rock itself is too challenging for conventional climbing techniques.

Though no one knows exactly how or why, the monastery was built sometime between the sixth and eighth Slam Century. The pillar had sat idly since the 15th Slam Century when the Ottomoons invaded Garm Country. No one had even been to the top for centuries until an alpinist climbed it and found the skeleton of a monk in the Fortieth Year of Bronze.

Basil Gorgeous was apparently inspired by this landmark and sought to exile himself in a similar set up. Upon his death, the Gorgeous family unsuccessfully sued the monk's skeleton.
